Jose Mourinho Linked To Real Madrid Again

MANCHESTER UNITED boss Jose Mourinho will not resign from his position at Old Trafford despite links to Real Madrid resurfacing, reports claim.

Manchester United manager Mourinho is under pressure at Old Trafford with links to Real Madrid starting up again.

Los Blancos would love to welcome the 55-year-old back to the Santiago Bernabeu, despite his first spell at the club being marred by spats with the likes of Sergio Ramos, Iker Casillas and Cristiano Ronaldo.

And with Manchester United stuck in a rut, an emotional return to Spain could be on the cards.

And, as a result of the club’s plight, many United fans are begging the club to make a managerial change.

However, the Evening Standard say Mourinho will NOT be quitting as manager.

The United boss is fed up with life at the club, particularly given how the board failed to back him in the summer transfer window.

But Mourinho, it seems, still has the hunger for the fight and is not ready to walk away from the compensation he would be owed.

The Evening Standard say United are also reluctant to sack Mourinho at the current stage.

And that is because the Red Devils feel that would be too costly.

However it is claimed that Mourinho does think Madrid will rescue him from the nightmare at Old Trafford in the summer despite Santiago Solari's appointment earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Emmanuel Petit believes United players are HAPPY that Mourinho’s job is on the line.

"Maybe some players are irritated or tired by the way Mourinho does things, but this guy knows what it takes to win trophies," Petit told Goal.

"Like how they play or not, Mourinho's record proves he is one of the great winners,” he said.

"It doesn't matter how you get there. Mourinho knows this and he has won more than almost every manager in the game.

"What I would say is that some players are hiding at Manchester United. I bet some are quite happy to hear the criticism of Mourinho and say it is all his fault.

"They hear the media saying Mourinho is doing this wrong, doing that wrong and they smile, but he is not on the pitch.

"He puts you on the pitch for one of the biggest clubs in the world and it is your responsibility to play well. Too many of them have been hiding and it is not good to see."
